Fashion Historian Shelby Ivey Christie, Named Among Forbes “Future of Fashion”

Shelby Ivey Christie Honored in the 2021 Edition of Forbes 30 Under 30: Art & Style


(New York, NY– December 2, 2020) An ardent Fashion & Costume historian, Shelby Ivey Christie has a passion for articulating how Black History intersects and affects the cultural climate, economics, and most importantly fashion.

A former alum of both Vogue and Loreal, Shelby’s expertise has frequently been called upon to examine fashion through the lens of race, class & culture. Alongside her full-time career, Shelby is also currently working to complete her Master of Arts, Costume Studies at NYU.

Prior to being an official Forbes 30 Under 30 Honoree, Shelby Ivey Christie made her debut on Forbes in October of 2020. In that piece she discussed her consistent advocacy towards the Black American cultural influence in fashion through her expansive social media platform.

Within the social media landscape, Shelby has a unique ability to leverage her social platforms into a means for curating important conversations around fashion and culture.
